Lying Footprints and Blasphemy

I promised myself that I won’t write about the Lying Footprints anymore. But here I am, pouring my thoughts and burning the keyboard. I can’t help it because she really pushed me to the limit this time.

I kept myself from confronting her about the fraud issue that happened. But her officemates were kind enough to share to me that she got terminated. Honestly speaking, since Karmi and I are job hunting, I wanted to bring her along. She became my friend anyway. So I casually asked her how’s work. She told me that she already reported to the office and she got training and coaching from her team manager. I don’t want to ride on with another of her lies so I just said, “ok” to end up the conversation. She texted a lot of stuff after that to defend herself. She even told me that she was only suspended because of a wrong call flow.

Well, okay then, I don’t want anything to do with that anymore so I did not dare say anything to elaborate the issue. But she told me one thing that pissed me off: “That’s what happens to the children of God, they are subjects of gossip by evil doers”.

I am not a very faithful person. However this is something that I will not let go. I firmly believe that faith and belief in God is something very precious and something that should not be used just to save ones ass. I firmly believe that using God’s name to condemn others is blasphemous. I believe that a true Christian will never call anybody evil. Jesus saved Mary Magdalene. Jesus never looked down on her even if she is a prostitute. A true Christian will not think vile thoughts about others.

I never believed in anything she said. I trust that the people who told me her suspension and termination will not make up stories. They are over 40 years old. Why would they make up something just to ruin a reputation of a 20 year old girl? They are mature people. They have lives and work to think of. The Lying Footprints is not an important person to talk about. So I hope that she stops using the name of the Lord to defend herself.

I don’t have religion. I was born Catholic but I don’t go to church anymore. It is because I see people who claim that they are religious yet they do things against what they say. Let me quote some lines from Shontelle’s song ‘Plastic People’ that can thoroughly explain my thoughts:

Nation of the plastic people
Here’s the church and here’s its people
Preaching good and doing evil
Trying to treat you less than equal
Saying this and meaning that
Twisting up into your back
Don’t be cast into the sequel
Living in a nation of plastic people

Believing in God is not an easy thing. Having faith in him doesn’t come naturally. Keeping the faith and trust in Him is hard because of all the negative things that happen around us. I, myself, would honestly say that I don’t have a strong faith in him. I tend to loose sight of Him and only remember Him during my troubled times. But I can stand up and do something when I know that wrong things are being done.

I hope you get to read this. I hope that one day, you’ll realize that lying is not right. Saying that this things are happening to you because you are a child of God is wrong! Problems come to us because we make them. People don’t get sick because of God, people don’t get killed because of God, people don’t get hurt because of God. Screw destiny! Everything that happens to a person is a result of their own actions. Everything that happens has a reason. And I know that that reason is not God. We make our own problems. We write our own future. We were given free will and a smart head to live our lives the way we wanted to. God doesn’t dictate what people should do and think. He is there to guide us not to push us around.

Stop this shit. Stop living a lie.

Bully

I always tell myself that I’m a resilient person. That’s what my friends also think of me, someone who doesn’t cry easily, a war freak and someone who’s not afraid to tell her thoughts. I still try to think that I am that girl. Until one day, I realized that perhaps that’s only half of what I am. As I travel along the busy roads of Metro Manila to look for a job, I always see people who make me to think why is it that humans are created differently?

When I was a high school student, I don’t regard myself as a popular student who bullies others extremely. I am in the middle. I love it when my friends and I tease a lot of nerds in the campus and make them do stupid things. I grew up in a private school so you expect that students there have a lot of money. Being one of the boys, we had a special liking to a transferee. She is weird and not good looking. We always ask her to treat us. When we discovered that she had a huge thing for one of our friends, we made her life totally miserable.

I even had this classmate whom I always called “poknat”. He has a small spot in his head that has no hair and when my other classmate told me that it is called ‘poknat’, I made fun of him all the time. He hated me. I don’t know why but during that time, I despised gay people. He turns out to be one so I really did cursed his existence.

Then, I had to transfer to a public school when I was a junior. My family had to move to Cavite in the middle of the school year. There was no private school who accepts a transferee. I was literally hated by everyone. They hated the Cattleya notebooks, the cellphone, the Pilot ballpen, the Esprit bag and all the stuff I have. They even hated the way I talk. They hate it when I speak in English. Nobody talked to me during my first day there except the biggest nerd in the class. I tried to be friendly but still nobody liked me but my girl-nerd classmate. Until it came to a point when I realized that some girls in class are trying to bully me.

Being an ex-bully, I knew that they where up to something serious. They would wait for me outside the gates during dismissal and would make fun of me during class hours. I felt scared. But I knew I had to do something to stop this. I am not someone they can toy around.

One afternoon, when they were making “parinig” (they talk about you loudly and annoyingly) I came up to them, I walked to their leader and pointed my finger at her and told her, “You don’t know who you’re dealing with, if you want to live long, shut the f*** up!”

After that, I was afraid. No----I was terrified. I thought they’ll wait for me after class and put me in a sack. But it turned out extraordinarily different. They became my friends. They told me that they liked me. Of course some of them would still have negative impressions and opinions. But I totally gained their respect.

So, there I was again, bullying other kids in school. Making fun of silly little girls who doesn’t know how to do their make up right. Making the lives of the nerds miserable. I loved it.

But I never did anything against my girl-nerd classmate. She was nice to me when I was alone and hated by the others. I guess I somehow protected her.

Now, it makes me really wonder why is it that there should be division in the world? Why are there people who thinks that they are better than others. I became one of those a long time ago. Now I know that being a part of something like that may be cool before but now, its not funny at all.

We are created equally. It just happened that some are born rich, some are poor. Some are pretty, some are not. Some are smart, some are not. Some just wanted to live a simple and quiet lives, while some wanted to be popular and better.

Whatever it is, I hope that wherever a person is placed, that person will make the best out of what he has. Be happy and quit making lives of others difficult. Live happy.

A Big Decision

^^

I have decided to stop schooling for a while. Our family plans to move to our new home at Valenzuela City this Christmas. I have expensive school bills and I want to help out. So I figured that I should stop schooling even for just a semester.

This is one of the biggest decisions that I have to do. I love going to school and I love my life there. I love my friends and I love learning. But I really feel that there is something missing in my life. I have to find for that missing piece that I know that will make me happy. I’ll definitely miss Chups and Topak. But since Ferdz will not go to school this coming semester (He will attend his practicum), I felt that I’m not gonna leave a lot. I know that Chups will always be there when I call him. He’s one
of a kind…^^

I told my brother about this because he is the one who sends me to school and his opinion mattered a lot. He agreed with the idea. I’m glad. I really feel relieved because of that. My mom is okay with this. She respects any decision I make anyway.

I am 21 and not getting any younger. I want to get a job. I want to be useful for the family. I think that now is the right time to try this. If this will not work out, I guess I can always go back to school. I have a lot of friends who is willing to help me out in this endeavor. Zeb even told me that he’ll schedule me on an exam at his company. He works as an HR Representative there. I’m excited. My friends Karmi and Zhelly agreed to come with me to look for a job. The three of us will go job hunting probably next week.

It’s a little weird that I have friends outside the four walls of my University. I’m not locked up inside the school. I already made friends with people I met at NCO. It’s cool. I’m not a loner and a weirdo anymore.

I hope that everything will be okay. I hope that whatever happens to me this coming days, I’ll be able to face it without wary. I hope that I’ll be able to learn and gain maturity.

The Lying Footprints 2

The Lying Footprints made the biggest mistake. After getting in a call center at Quezon City, it was pretty unusual that she performed perfectly well for a newbie. Since she got into a sales account, she was able to convert a lot of calls into sales. She had a lot of GA’s and upgrades. The thing is, she was already suspended for fraud.

It turns out that this girl processed a lot of orders without the customers consent. She even had multiple sales in one call. But the ugly and stupid part of that is no customer made the order.

My mom told me that maybe, this girl has problems. Something that makes her do things such as that. But I believe that there is no excuse for any mistake people do. I believe that we were given enough brains to process judgment in our head. We know if the things we do are right or wrong. I think the only type of people who doesn’t know what they are doing are those under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

They told us that she will be subject for termination and won’t be given exit clearance. Some told me that the company might file a case against her. She won’t even get her salary.

I don’t know if I should feel sorry for the girl. I don’t even know if I should look down at her for doing that. The only thing that I know is, what goes around comes around. I hope that this becomes a good learning ground for her. She’s 20 and not a kid anymore. She could go to jail for fraud. It sucks but that is the truth. There are a lot of good people who deserves to get her job. But this is how she repays the luck and goodness the Powers That Be bestowed upon her.
